The Fool

My name is Konrad Mitchell Lawson. I am currently a history PhD student studying modern East Asian History. The Fool's Workshop was set up in 2000 when I was a student studying Chinese in Beijing to host the Flashcard Wizard software I developed to help me maintain some control over the massive amount of vocabulary I was working with at the time. For the next four years or so the website grew into a home for a collection of "foolish" projects I worked on using my amateur coding skills.

Since around 2004 I stopped active development in order to focus on my PhD studies and I have not been updating or adding new projects to the site. However, you may still download the software, including the still very much functional JavaScript flashcards script, the OWLS Workshop for Language Study PHP scripts, and use tools such as the Pinyin to Unicode converter and Jii-chan's Kanji Flashcards.
